I had absolutely no idea what I was getting into but picking up this book. 🤯🤯🤯
Gracie is an absolute doormat of a human being. The 29 year old gets walked on by both her parents, her sister and her fiance. When she finds her fiance screwing her sister under their family Christmas tree, her family forgives both of them and tells Gracie she really needs to forgive and forget. (The family is the picture of insanity.) Very uncharacteristically, Gracie decides revenge seems like a good idea as she's planning her sister's wedding a year later to her former fiance - for the same day that was supposed to be her wedding day. So, she hires a super hot bad boy to pretend to be her boyfriend and shenanigans ensue. Like a lot.
I didn't know if I loved this or hated this as I read it, but I couldn't stop. The spice was spicing and the doormat was being stomped all over, which was incredibly annoying. I typically can't stand a character like that, but Hudson really helped her get it together. I'd give this a 3.5 and round up to 4 for shock value alone.
⭐⭐⭐⭐
I know this is supposed to be a comedy of errors but yeash! Not one of the characters is likeable. The MFC is a complete doormat and way too obsessed with Christmas. Even if she had a big FUCK YOU to her family I don’t know if she can redeem herself. Im not willing to go another 20 chapters to even find out of that happens or not.

This was an absolute train wreck and I couldn’t stop reading it.
Gracie was a doormat and Hudson was something.
I should have DNF but I needed to see this through to the end.
I was so intrigued with the premise of this book and the second one. I don’t know if it was the audiobook that made this so cringing.
It was over the top vulgar and dramatic.
Kelly and James were the worst. Actually so was Gracie’s whole family besides Dakota and Grandma Murray and sometimes Logan.
