I know that low ratings sometimes intrigue some to read a book. There are some spoilers in this review, so read at your own risk.
2 ⭐️ I was looking for a fun holiday, fake dating, and romcom, and what I got was a doormat fmc that takes way too long to get a spine. I very nearly dnf'd and probably should have; however, I kept going with the hope that the spine would grow soon. It's gonna be literally HUNDREDS of pages.
You know the sentiment: this meeting should have been an email? This is the book equivalent. I opened this book on Friday and immediately noted the 575 page count, thinking after the crap that Gracie endured by her sleazy ex and her ho-bag sister this is gonna be full of amazing revenge antics, but wound up spending most of this book spite reading. This book has been a way too long test of my patience, and I kept going HOPING that it would get better. The final 15% of the actual book was decent, but the rest is pretty unforgivable.
Most of the plot is Gracie constantly being steamrolled by EVERYONE except one cousin. Even her fake boyfriend mmc treats her terribly for a good CHUNK of the book. It is absolutely ridiculous just how much the author tortured Gracie.

Omgosh! Absolutely enjoyed this book! Read it in one day! Roller coaster of emotions for the main characters. One minute you are ticked off for her..the next you are saying "grow a pair! Tell your family off!" And then? Laughing out loud! Kind of hoping to see some of the other characters meet their matches down the road. And watch out for the Grannys. They are hilarious!
This one reads like a spicy hallmark movie!!! Good girl makes a plot to sabotage her sisters Christmas wedding to her ex fiancé with the help of a bad boy she met on a bus. Said bad boy is actually undercover and trying to get information from girl for his assignment. Good girl hates bad boy but by the end they fall in love…… ohhh don’t forget all the steamy scenes in between! This book had me LOLing. Definitely a good holiday romcom if you like hallmark movies.
Hudson could tell me to sit down and eat and threaten my family anytime
This was my first Christmas book, and it was exactly what I was in the mood for. Hudson's dirty mouth, Gracie's people pleasing, and the family just being extremely toxic and adding on two grandmothers fighting with each other all the time, it was fun to read. I was so happy to see Gracie grew a backbone at the end and that Hudson gave in to falling for her. But a BIG fuck you to Kelly and James! I'm hoping for a sequel for Dakota!

Skimmed after chapter 2. Writing was weird.. saw a few typos
This book was so ridiculous and over the top, unrealistically so but I loved almost every single second of it. Can’t wait for more Wynter Brothers books!

This story was just a lot. A lot of strange family dynamics. Kookie family, I love, but these people were horrible. Gracie doesn't get any kind of intelligence credit until the end of the book, and I'm still unclear as to the relationship between Hudson and the guy he's working for. Why didn't he just tell the guy, look, I'm out. Or tell Gracie the truth, she might have helped him just because her family was full of assholes and little shits. It all works out in the end, and everyone gets what they deserved, because of course they do, but why was to book almost 600 pages? I don't understand. You realize how truly awful the family is by page 50, so why keep showing their horribleness? Anyway, it was decently written, the characters just made me mad, and it was way too long.
