I hate how much I loved this book...it is a hot mess. The characters are ridiculous, the Christmas theming utterly absurd, the tropes over the top, but so help me Gaia, I loved every single damn minute of it.

I cannot deal with this nonsense. No one is nice except Gracie (and Dakota) and she's too pure. Hudson is trash, and so is her family. I don't care about the alleged trauma I'm sure he's got buried away. It's not a book for me.

i finished just because i was committed but the only “funny” thing about this book was how absolutely horrible it was. there were points (at least once a chapter) that i stopped and wondered if this book was just a giant joke.
the plot was relatively funny and lighthearted but the actual story and the way it was written was so absolutely outrageous, unhinged, and unrealistic that it ruined everything for me.
the main characters (and really all of them) were the most annoying people i’ve ever had to read about and there was NO ROMANCE. the “romance” was downright toxic and borderline abusive but played off like it was okay

I really loved this book and the characters. It’s semi-unbelievable, but I don’t expect books to always be believable so it’s fine. Only thing I would say is it’s weird how she made Gracie so dirty talking after she could barely even see him without a shirt on.

It is not this crazily well written book, with realistic scenes, BUT it was hella fun to read.
The characters annoyed me until about halfway through the book: Gracie had no backspine and was a pushover (which always infuriates me in books) and Hudson was constantly an assh*le whose actions were pissing me off.
But it gets better, there's character development for both of them; there's a little plot that creates a bit of drama; and there's quite a few funny scenes, especially with Grandma Murray. Give that women an award because she carried the whole comedy part of the book on her back.
It's a fun read, especially if you're looking for a holiday themed book. But this is NOT as cute and innocent as it look. Definitely not. 👀
