This is a new-to-me author and a book that Facebook kept showing on my feed so I didn’t fully know what to expect. I am so happy those targeted ads got to me because this book is so worth it. It’s downright hilarious with a fun storyline. The story starts out with the ultimate betrayal from her fiancee…WITH HER SISTER! Gracie hires Hudson to help get her revenge but little does she know, Hudson has his own motives. We go through the twist and turns and EPIC family moments until he we finally get our HEA. I haven’t laughed out loud during a book in a very long time and this had me cracking up non stop. EVERYONE NEEDS A GRANDMA MURRAY!! The FMC was an infuriating doormat but once she finally got a backbone, the dialogue became so much more entertaining. The MMC honestly didn’t have much character growth but his attitude suited him so well. I loved how he was only soft when it came to her at the end. Swoon. 100% will be reading the next book(s) in the series and adding this to the holiday rotation.

The FMC is made the emotional scapegoat and physical slave for literally everything by immediate and extended family. Very weird reality where someone would put up with this level of abuse. I found the spice made up for the weirdo family. I particularly enjoyed once the FMC surprises us with her dirty talk. Sure, it's an unbelievable story NOT set in our reality, but just enjoy the craziness and smut ;)

I really liked this book. Gracie finds her sister getting a gift under the Christmas tree from her own fiancè in the day she is supposed to get married. But instead of losing her mind and tying them together with tinsel and throwing them in the river, she just congratulates them. Fast forward a year? And she is planning g the exact same wedding for her sister and ex-fiancé that’s she was supposed to have when she realizes her sister has completely destroyed her great-grandmother’s dress to make her own slut-tastic dress. And that is what it takes to make her plan revenge. Revenge that necessitates hiring a bad boy to wreck the upcoming nuptials. However, Hudson Wynter already had his eye on Gracie for completely different reasons!

Trashy romances have gotten a lot more trashy since I read them 25 years ago, but this one actually had some funny parts and a decent plot.

I harp on others to DNF books, but I almost never do. This book is curing me of that. In the new year, I will not finish books just because I trudge through the first 25%. Maybe this deserves two stars because it’s making me change my ways.

Every character in this book sucks.
No one has even the most modest crumb of self awareness.

The only thing that could have saved this would be if Hudson was actually an assassin and took out literally every single member of Gracie’s family before putting her in intensive therapy for Human Doormats.

3/5

I had higher expectations for this book. The title and synopsis had been intriguing, but I felt it could have been executed better.

Gracie was hands down the most insecure, doormat, no backbone having FMC I’ve ever read. The MMC, Hudson, was supposed to be a "Bad Boy", but honestly felt like he was a huge jackhole. Gracie's family was down right horrible, and her sister was the worst. Also, could have been way shorter than it was.

I did like some of the side characters though! Not sure if I will read the other books as I am curious to see how Hudson's brothers love lives go.

Lol this was exactly as mediocre as I thought it would be. Five stars.

WTF did I just read? 😂😂

This was more unhinged than Unhinged. And it was hilarious -- in a good way.

Granny Murray was my favorite. 😂

DID NOT FINISH: 42%

The story was taking too long. At 42% it felt like it could be at 80%. I also didn't like the MMC that much.
