oof… but good?

This book has a bad start. None of the characters were likable, but they grew on me. I really like how it ended.

So... it wasn't fantastic and there were parts that super annoyed me. I mean, I personally know I am a pushover but even I have more of a backbone than the FMC, and I'm by no means a prude, but I would have wanted to crawl under a rock and never show my face again to any family member if someone who was supposed to be my "boyfriend" talked like that in front of my family. And her secret? OMG. Right then and there I wanted to stop reading. BUT.. I'm glad I didn't because it got better from that point on. I mean, don't get me wrong, completely predictable, but, better nonetheless.

Worst book I’ve read in a long time had to force myself to finish it. If it weren’t for grandma Murray’s character and her “sword”  I would’ve stopped half way through.

4.3⭐️

This is a solid 4 star holiday read, with bonus decimals because Grandma Murray deserves five stars all to herself.
