I love James Herriot's books. They're just wholesome and very funny. This second installment was more of the same as the first and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I listened to the audiobook read by Nicholas Ralph which was a joy.

A James Herriot sequel filled with similar charming vignettes of veterinary life in the Dales in the mid 1900s. Not quite as timeless as the first book, a few of Herriot’s old fashioned views peek out a bit more, but it’s still filled with lovely little low stakes stories about the people and animals and treats.
