A veces se sentía tan desconectado de las personas a su alrededor que era como si viviera en una realidad completamente diferente. El mundo por el que ellos se movían no era su mundo.
The cover is beautiful! I love the folklore! The story is original and also at the same time the author has made it modern as well. I love mermaids and I feel this book falls within that category. This will be one that I will probably get a physical copy of. Thank you for allowing me to review this ARC!

AHHHHH A CLIFFHANGER
Polyamorous bisexual dream of a fantasy romance - the only situation where a love triangle actually works because everyone is attracted to each other. I had so much fun reading this! The characters are hilarious, I love their interactions and personalities, I'm in love with outrageously flirty Gisela. This is the best Polish folklore book I've read this year, I love all of the detailed world building. I want a little grumpy cat house spirit

I really enjoyed the world building and characters in this one. It ended pretty abruptly though with some things unresolved so I hope another one comes along. It would have been nice for it to be a self contained story.
Sorry guys I have a few things to say (audiobook, so idk how to spell names. Just sound them out)
- did not know Kazik was pan until the last 20 minutes. With how much he talked about Aleksy's mouth warering hotness, legit only thought he was gay
- time period is very hard to fully grasp. I thought it was, like, a sweet 1910 something era all romantic and such, gauze and pastels and suspenders and parasols, but then they mentioned busses and I'd be dragged by my hair to 2016. Like what next, the IRS and skinny jeans?
- apparently part of a series?
- enemies to lovers except they're enemies and just plain annoying and you don't notice the lovers part until the very end when the book needs to get wrapped up
- Gisela is... somehow one dimensional, and then conveniently remembers her brother, then goes back to being one dimensional. Like my issue with this is that it's heavily implied/literally stated that she was basically parentified by her dad to care for her brother, and as she grows from this throughout the book, just kidding, she doesn't grow from this. She just. Keeps feeling like she needs to be his parent until LITERALLY the last chapter or something, where she decides she's going to live for herself for once. Like, tf? Girl what life? So yeah, no character growth from her.
- I am so tired of the stupid snark relationships. What is this, the 80s? Does the author think its cute and quirky for couples (or in this case, throuples) to be arguing and annoying to each other? For the ENTIRE time they court? They sound like a 50 year old couple. Like cmon it's not cute, it's absolutely not the relationship anyone aspires for, where you have to give and take comebacks. And before anyone says "hey I want that" no you don't, you want to be able to banter with someone who is like your second brain. Not this perpetual 30-yo-cringe dialogue where you gotta be on your toes all the time. Just get a divorce istg
- literally though, there is 0 chemistry the entire time until Aleksy and Kazik kiss, then there is still no chemistry but now they're kissing.
- how is she literally actively disappearing and fading away and still being annoying? He's trying to do something (idk he's got strong virgin energy I'm surprised he knew he was allo at all) and she's still making noise and putting it off. I bet if she shut up and listened more often, the book would be 40% shorter and 40% more satisfying.
