This author collab series, Immortal Vices and Virtues, has been absolutely amazing and we're only on the second book. Queen Me is a solid addition to this series and world, and it has quickly become an obsession to devour every book that will release.

The pacing of the story and the romance, although different, worked so well for me. Every single character has something to bring to the table and I could not get enough of Rowe and Volker. Rowe goes on getting through each day one at a time, trying to find where she fits in the world. And Volker is on the vengeance and has his eyes set on Rowe to help him get back what he lost. But as time goes on, Volker starts to grow a heart whenever it comes to Rowe and I am so here for it.

There are so many things to love about this, the story, the banter and the ever-sizzling chemistry (with quite the pleasing payoff), and even some of the side characters ... which I hope we see more of in the future. And there are some twists, some I saw and others I absolutely did not. I really didn't want this to end, but Amber gave us such a great addition that I'll forever be hungry for more.

I believe that this was the first book that I’ve read by this author. It’s not going to be the last. This author knows how to keep the reader in the dark. And this story is amazing. Rowe is a human living amongst the shifters. She’s living her life the best that she knows how. That is until a mysterious fae shows up and turns her world upside down.

This story lees you on your toes. There are twists in this story that I didn’t see coming. The chemistry is off the charts. You will not be disappointed when you read this books.

This is book 2 in this collaborative series/world written by ALN (one of my favorite authors) and it had me wondering how it would flow from book 1 and a change in author. Well it was an easy transition and the change was essentially seamless!

This book is about Rowe, the human friend of Danni and Adora from book 1, who is still in the Fire and Flourite house. She didn't leave with Danni and I wondered what would have kept her behind as she was pretty much treated like a lowly slave. Her loyalty to her house and to Shade and Andreas was never returned to her by any other than those 2. Even then I thought Andreas was a bad cookie seeing him through Danni's eyes for that short time.

Since she has stayed behind with essentially no allies or friends, the Moonlight Wraith was able to get to her quickly and easily. As the recently usurped King of Air and Amethyst, Volker has need for Rowe because she has something he needs. Rowe is willing to help him but not for him, for his people who are opposed to the new queen that will end anyone not loyal to her without blinking an eye.

For a while I couldn't get a hold on Volker but by the end he is definitely book boyfriend material! This one is a slow to moderate burn but the build up is worth it as Rowe is growing in this short time and is better understanding the world she lives in. She has this type of blind loyalty and is a horrible secret keeper and while she has lived as a human, she is definitely better than any supernatural. While this may be the end of them being in the forefront I would love to see them again!

This author has been on my TBR for awhile so I was thrilled to read something from someone unfamiliar to me. Queen Me is a part of a shared paranormal world and I found myself really enjoying it! The banter, the twists, and everything in between made this a delightful afternoon read.

not a great follow up

Reject me was amazing. 5/5 without a doubt. This took 80% for a kiss! Outside of her dreams there was no chemistry. Boring.

For a paranormal romance book, there was too little romance in my opinion. I really am that gal that needs three things in a pnr;
1. Romance, lots and lots of romance.
2. A good storyline.
3. Lots of action.

Points 2 and 3 were amazing and great in this book, but when I hit the 50% mark and there still was no romance, I got antsy, so I kept checking up. 80% was the first and last real romancy thing until the epilogue.
Now back to the things I did love because there were plenty. I loved the storyline, it was action-packed and I actually didn't know where it was going to lead next, which was so good to have for once. It felt like constant being put in the wrong direction only to read more and thinking OMG. The writing of this author was great as well, it was easy to follow, quite fun and just overall great. This was a new to me author and although there wasn't much romance, I did like reading the book because the story kept me hooked.

3,5/5 stars.

*listened to audiobook

This book was everything I needed! I wanted something spicy, fantasy, with a HEA, and standalone! This was all of that and MORE!! It was a fast listen and kept my attention. It’s urban fantasy, set in the real world.
