Sometimes you just need an easy thriller to enjoy, and this definitely scratched that itch for me. The Bachelorette Party is filled with a cast of unlikable women who head to New Orleans got, you guessed it, a bachelorette party. The descriptions of New Orleans were easily the best part of this book - I love the city & know it well, so it was fun to read about it!

I enjoyed that this book spent the first half building up the characters and their general interactions with one another, and then the second half focused more on the criminal investigation following the murder.

To me, this was brain candy. It was a fun piece of escapism where I didn’t need to think too hard. I had a good time reading it, and would recommend it to anyone looking for a simple, slightly suspenseful story.

Compelling enough read to finish it over 2 sittings but very basic writing

I would give this book more than 5 stars if I could. It is one of the best books I've read this year!!!! The cover, the plot, the setting, the writing...there's nothing about this book I didn't enjoy.

The story grabbed my attention from the very beginning and kept it until the very end. I loved how the author told the story by changing the pov to a different party member in each chapter. It really added to the story and let the reader get to really know the characters. The interrogation chapters were awesome too!!! This book was just really well written.

This was my first book by this author and definitely not my last!!!

Thanks to HarperCollins UK, One More Chapter, and Netgalley for the advanced copy. All opinions are mine.

A very quick read with short chapters makes this book readable in just a day. Going in blind, the cover alone would have you interested to know what happens inside. Once inside, you're met with 6 women... all very dramatic & several unlikeable, attending a bachelorette party in the hustle and bustle of New Orleans.

Though this book was done in multi-pov, which I am a big fan of, it felt like the characters jumped around to much and some details got lost during the story. I think because this is such a quick read and has short chapters, it falls flat on some of the details of the characters, important information, and the murder itself.

I really enjoyed reading the dynamic between each character, their baggage and red flags, and the twists and turns they all brought to the story line. And the cover is very pretty!

Overall, this is a super quick read with a good twist. I would enjoy reading more from this author.
Thank you NetGalley and to the publisher for the gifted ARC.
