ppffffbtbtttt

this was so male gazey. shes a single mom who down to earth and loves pizza and relaxing but also knows everything about football and is down to wear 4 inch heels and maintain a size. he literally cant get over the idea of a woman who isnt a skinny blonde actress only interested in him for the money. so much of this was soooooo contrived. they both like fully commit and then internally are like wait do i???? stop flip flopping. show dont tell me that they are afraid of commitment. cuz their actions say they arent.

also the entire book is split povs until the last section where the sequel characters have a pov randomly just to sell the sequel. plz maintain consistency in ur pov choices

I liked this book. I'm a huge football fan so
That intrigued me. I did not care for the language used during the love scenes. People don't talk that way in real life. Overall, it was a good story and a very quick read.

Boring and predictable read, would not recommend.

Things I didn't like:
- Everything was a cliche and way too predictable.
- Characters were flat and underdeveloped.
- Not interesting enough plot.

I really struggled with this one.

The plot was too straight forward for my liking.
Tara and Mick met -> had sex -> fell in love -> lived happily ever after.
There was just too many pointless words that dragged the story out, most of the detail was trivial and unnecessary.

I'm not saying it's a terrible book by any stretch, it was well written and the characters had chemistry, it just wasn't for me is all.

A nice, hot story between QB Mick and event planner Tara.

They just fall way too fast....can't live w/o each other after just a few chapters.

Once again I have read out of order. Spoils a wee bit of the HEA's but you won't be list. That being said, the writing quality have definitely improved since book 1.

FANTASTIC! I am head over heels for Mick! What a great book, lots of steam, lots of story.

I was tempted to DNF but in the end got through it.  I'm not a fan of books where the main issue(s) should never have happened or could have been solved by a short conversation but instead they get turned into big deals. They manage to have sex multiple times without having some pretty basic conversations.

I thought this was a nice little read. Nothing complicated or super amazing, but I liked Mick and Tara and their chemistry was good. There were a few cringy lines, but not too cheesy. This was my first contemporary romance book, and first sport romance, so I don't really have anything to compare it to genre-wise, but I liked it enough to go ahead and try the next book in the series.

So, what didn't I like? Well, everything was a little too perfect sometimes. Like Tara's son being so broody that she didn't want to introduce him to Mick, but did she forget her son played high school football? Because of course Nathan loves Mick and has no problem with the relationship at all. So what was she worrying about. Oh and Mick's an alcoholic, but it's ok because Tara's parents were alcoholics, so she's just proud of him for overcoming addiction. And Mick's parents' anniversary is coming up? Perfect! Tara's an event planner. I don't know, everything lined up a little too well. There were only two kind of "drama" moments, and both were Tara jumping to conclusions without talking to Mick. And I really don't understand how Tara is such a sex goddess when she says she never dates.

A little too much time was devoted to Liz, who will obviously be the heroine in the next book. I don't think the author needed to make it so obvious, nor have Tara know within a moment of meeting her who Liz was in love with. Just seemed out of place. Anyway, I'll see how I feel after the next book.
