Where do I even start????? Ruthless King had me SO curious about Liv and Ford. I knew there was something there, but wasn't really sure what was going to come of it. Colm is so insane about Liv and her well-being. Overbearing is the understatement of the year when it comes to Colm and Liv. So, that being said, I always wondered how they would ever end up together!
Holy cow was I excited when they finally started chatting again!! After their first kiss and the drama that followed I was glued! I just had to know how Ford was going to redeem himself and get Liv back. Also, these people are really darn stubborn!!! I hated that no one ever told the truth about what happened. I also loved how Greg was thrown into this mix. He made for the perfect amount of drama, although, there was already lots of it.
My favorite part was the juxtaposition between Liv and Ford's relationship and Colm and Ford's relationship. Both were supposed to be this brotherly type bond, but I love how it twisted. There were so many twists and turns to these relationships, it was pretty addicting. Above all though, I love how Ford fought for Liv. He wanted her to have the life she wanted, even if that meant being further away for him. It was so admirable! I also love how they all had parental issues in common and especially loved how Ford's mom played such an important role. Overall I loved the friendship that Liv and Colm had in addition to anything else, it made for the best base for this relationship.
Lastly, I can't not mention the other Kings and their Queens! This group is CONSTANTLY hysterical and they didn't disappoint. I loved the innuendos and the constant feel of family. This book brought so many laughs and so many emotions. It was great. It also left me dying for more!!!

This is the book I've been waiting for in this series. We got to know Olivia and Ford through out the previous books. I love a friends to lovers and best friend's sister romance so this one filled those cravings. Plus is a sports romance, right up my alley. There is a lot of emotion in this one. You could tell right from the start that it was going to be plus I knew it was going to hit me right in the heart. I loved Olivia and Ford. They pulled me right into the story. I can't wait for the last book in the series because based on what happened in this it's going to be one heck of a ride.
2.5 Stars!
SO MUCH DAMN DRAMA! I had a feeling there would be a lot, but now I'm thinking there couldn't possibly have been another angsty point of contention that could fit into this story, it was so piled on. I felt repeatedly and consistently beat over the head by all the reasons why the two mcs had to resist each other. The obstacles were so overdone and seemingly insurmountable, it felt like EVERYONE would have just been better off staying away from each other.
By the time it was winding down toward the end, I was pretty fed up with Liv's martyr complex, and with Ford's weak back-bone; with Colm's petulant blame throwing and definitely with Grant's petty envy. They ALL seemed so content with their discontent, so willing to just remain unhappy and unfulfilled, if the alternative meant making any tough choices or taking ownership of the direction their lives were going. With this story feeling like a such a ridiculous mess of drama to me, I wondered why or IF I even cared.

I recieved this arc in exchange for an honest review. Thank you so much Maya Hughes for this opportunity!
If you are looking for a brother’s best friend romance with a little angst, this one is for you! This story was everything great when it comes to romance. It was swoon-worthy, it had a hockey player and undeniable chemistry between two great characters! This was my first read out of this series but I’m so excited to go back and read the other books out of this series. Maya Hughes knows how to introduce and present a lovely romance. Liv, was Ford’s Best Friend’s little sister and had always had a crush of Ford ( I mean, who wouldn’t?) Liv was so cute, I absolutely loved her character and she was perfect for Ford. Ford, was the hot, hockey player, who seemed like only a dream to Liv. Liv and Ford’s story was amazing and I’m excited to read more of this series!

I have been loving every one of the Kings of Rittenhouse books, but I think Ford and Liv might just be my favorite. If you've read the series, you have seen the chemistry and steam building up and now we get to experience all of it.
It is completely complicated for them to be together. There's an age difference. There's the fact that Liv is Ford's best friend's little sister. The fact that there is some tension growing between Colm and Ford before this even goes down. And then add in Grant, Ford's brother who has always been in love with Liv and it leads to a wild ride. So many favorite tropes folded into one amazing story.
Liv is such a fierce little fighter. Torn between other people's expectations for her and following her dream. She is delicate, yet real and gritty.
Ford is a big sweetie who finds himself in uncomfortable places and struggling how to handle them.
And the whole Rittenhouse gang is here as well.
Binge this whole series now. :)

I have fallen hard for the Kings series!
Fearless King is Ford and Liv's story and one I have been waiting for desperately!
Ford has always been the quiet one, the guy behind the scenes. He is the definition of an extroverted introvert. I can so relate to him! He carries his secrets and wayward guilt on his shoulders like a cape. He is trying to be strong for those he loves and tries hard to deny his feelings for Liv.
Oh Liv, yes we always see her as Colm's little sister, but she is so much more. She has such weight on her shoulders, expectations of what her life should be. She handles the pressure as best she can. But at what cost?
Ms. Hughes creates magic with her words. The chemistry between Ford and Liv is epic, if you have read the past books in this series, you could see it percolating behind the scenes. To see it come to the forefront in this book is just wow!
I was proud of Liv for following her heart and her dreams! It took strength and bravery to finally say enough!
I fell in love hard with Ford (I can honestly say he's my favorite King....). He is everything you can ask for in hero.
Oh and now we wait for Colm, I cannot wait for his story!

This book absolutely infuriated me at every turn.
Ford and Liv, however, I have no notes. They're absolute perfection, and I was literally obsessed with them from page one up until the very end. They both had to deal with so much both together and apart, and I'm glad that they made it through despite everyone and everything trying to keep them apart.
What infuriated me? Colm. His entire existence in this book was so unnecessary, I don't even have words for how much I absolutely loathe him. Holding a mistake Ford made on ACCIDENT years ago is such a petty, petulant thing to do and then to enlist him to find out what's going on with Liv and then getting angry when he tells you the truth?!?!? Make it make sense.
I'm so proud of Liv, though. She's a badass, strong, independent woman, and the way that she stood up for herself at the end of this book deserves a star in and of itself. Colm cutting her off was so wholly unnecessary and the fact that he's so blinded by this promise he made to their late parents that he can't even see that the thought of med school was actually killing her... I'm over him.
I'm super nervous about how I'm gonna feel towards his redemption in the next one, especially considering we're evidently throwing a baby into this mess. But we shall see 🤷♀️
