So precious, so heartbreaking, so real. I love the way Backman tells stories and I just want to keep reading more. Also, I need to go hug my grandfather after this.
Meh - wasn’t for me I guess. I finished in but it took forever to get through. It didn’t grab me in at all! The writing didn’t flow at times and I didn’t find it an emotional read at all.
If I were to sum it up, it is about the life of a grumpy man who has people who care enough to turn his life around, at least for the time he has left.

If anyone asks me what love is, this is a book I’ll recommend. Love comes in many ways and forms. The ones from Ove and to Ove made me well up and filled my heart.
Made me cry so many happy and sad tears and spoke to the socially anxious part of my soul. It's not always a bad thing to open your heart up to people once in a while in strange unfamiliar settings. Adventures await. I read the book in one day and just couldn't put it down. I look forward to reading more books by Fredrik Backman

Should you decide to read this book, be patient with dear Ove. He grows on you and perhaps you will fall in love with him, as I did.
A heartwarming and meaningful story surrounding an elderly man about loss, community, and living. I found it to be overwhelmingly excellent and would recommend this book highly.
