If I could give it 6 stars, I would. Wow! I have a new favorite book and it’s this one. The writing is both beautiful and hilarious. Blackman writes in a way that is just so comedic and a little off putting that you just have to laugh your way through the story. I suppose that’s the whole point. But then every time he writes about love or time lost, he does it in such a poetic way that only a person who has lost someone they truly love could possibly do. “For the greatest fear of death is always that it will pass us by. And leave us there alone.” This was so entertaining and unique. I’ll probably be thinking about and rereading it for the rest of my life. So enjoyable!
I loved this audiobook so much! George Newbern does such a wonderful job and brought all of these unforgettable characters to life. I wasn't sure if I would like this book, but it was even better than I had heard it was. I couldn't believe how I was laughing, then crying, then laughing through my tears - what a book hangover!

This book is such a moving look into life after tragedy. I laughed a lot, I cried more than once, and sometimes bounced between the two looking like a dang fool. It's not what I expected from the people I know who liked it, but it turned out to be better than I hoped. I would recommend it to most, with a trigger warning that it deals with some extremely sensitive topics such as , , and .
