Pickett's mother in law is arrested for the murder of hr 6th husband. It seems like an open and shut case, until Pickett goes digging. He connects with Nate again, a twist that I like (I like Nate), as Nate goes down his own road of payback. Once again, a good read (kept me up till after midnight).

Follow up to nowhere to run. Don't think we've heard the last of Joe Pickett & Nate Romanowski. Interesting info on wind generation and the controversy regarding renewable energy

This is a classic murder mystery novel with modern day adventures. It has a twist which has a twist which has a twist, and it all wraps up connected together and nicely. It is not too out there and remains possible, though unprobable.

There characters are interesting and act like characters, the setting is described well, and the plot is intriguing. There is not really any big problem with this book, as to be expected from this author.

3.5 stars rounded up. Can’t decide how committed I am to this series, but they’re quick audiobooks for work days so I’ll probably keep reading as they become available at the library.

Fun read. A little far fetched at times, but fun.

Great.

I love Nate as a character, especially in the audio version. And I loved the way Box ended this one, he's not afraid to go for a darker outcome than you were expecting
