I did the audio version and really loved that multiple narrators were used. It was engaging and made it feel like I was experiencing the story. Overall, the story was great. It was interesting, thrilling, and had some good characters. My only complaint is the title gives away the “twist.” Or a big part of it, at least. I would have found the story more compelling and shocking if it had a different title.

This was a fun read. I enjoyed the differe t perspectives from the 3 siblings. It kept things I teresting and fun. I've let my friend barrow the book and they are also enjoying it after reading You Shouldn't Have Come Here. I'll likely read that one pretty soon. Can't wait.

A great, easy suspenseful book that reminds me of gone girl and a house with good bones.
Filled with trauma and family dynamic issues, this story weaves a tight narrative culminating in a lovely finale

Remember when thrillers had to be thrilling? When mysteries had to be mysterious? When books had to be well-paced? I do! I don't think Jeneva Rose does...

This book pulled me in right from the start and kept me hooked the whole way through. It was twisty, suspenseful, so intriguing than. The story unfolded in a way I truly did not see coming. I was entirely convinced the siblings’ father was responsible for Emma, Charles, and Christie’s deaths. Honestly, the only other person I suspected for even a second was Lucas (and that was only when he showed up at the graves). Michael, despite being a little bit bitchy, was never on my radar at all which made the reveal even more shocking. The pacing was excellent, keeping the tension high while still being easy to read. I loved that it felt like a true family drama woven into a thriller, with the messy sibling dynamics adding layers to the mystery. That said, there were a couple of moments near the conclusion that left me wishing for a bit more detail, like how exactly Nicole knew to call the police after Beth dug up the bodies. I assume Beth must have told her, but then why wouldn’t Beth just call 911 too? It wasn’t a dealbreaker, but little things like that pulled me out for a second. Overall, this was a great read, fast-paced, twisty, and wrapped up in a way that felt satisfying without being overly drawn out. I loved how everything tied together neatly at the end, it gave the whole story a satisfying finish.
