This was a beautiful read and certainly one of the most relatable plotlines I've consumed in a while. The real-life struggles, the angst of decisions made, and the push & pull of the relationship was very reminiscent of real-world romance without any outlandish plot twists. I enjoyed the strength of the FMC in terms of standing up to her family, managing her health, and recognizing her flaws. However, I wanted to shake the life out of her on several occasions. I needed her to recognize the absurdity of what she expected from other people, mainly Caleb, versus what she was willing to provide herself.

Overall, wonderful first read by this Author. I can't wait to start on other works to expand my knowledge of the Lindon U universe.

I've been pondering what to say in this review about Lose You to Find Me for days. It truly is a case of "I really wanted to like this book, but..." It is also and most probably a "me problem." While Caleb is adorable and swoony, even amid his flaws, Raine annoyed me. It was really hard to connect with her and feel empathy.

Their main issue is communication. He proposes, and she doesn't accept. No explanations. Just a "I'm sorry." The real issue isn't revealed until the story is at 60%, and she doesn't explain it to Caleb until 80%. Is she young? Yes, even at 24. But for someone studying psychology and wanting to help others, she certainly didn't apply the notions to herself. I can understand her not saying anything to her parents, with whom she has a rocky relationship. But not saying anything to even a friend or to the guy/best friend she has been with for seven years? Really? Not once talking to a professional? The not saying anything went on for years. Years!!!

The way the conflict wrapped and its timing also fell so far stretch. Maybe I'm being too harsh. But by that point, I couldn't stand Raine and had a hard time wanting to finish the book.

This book made me so emotional. It hit so close to home in several areas. But I felt as though I was right there with Caleb and Raine. All the emotional turmoil they were both in, but yet they kept finding their way back to each other.

I loved this book so much, but really dislike Raine’s mom. Raine deserves so much better than her.

Caleb….i just wanted to hug him and let him know he’ll be okay.

I'm very rarely give one star, but this entire book hinges on a misunderstanding and a lack of communication. This drives the entire plot until like the last two chapters. Add to that the father dying of cancer which is just completely unnecessary angst, and I'm an angst-whore, I just did not enjoy anything about this book. I didn't enjoy the couple I didn't enjoy the drama. I didn't enjoy the fact that the entire book was essentially a third act breakup. I didn't even enjoy the epilogue because yes we see her with a baby, but it's not her baby, even her adopted baby. Wait, I take that back I did enjoy Leon, Leon was adorable. The rest of this book is trash for me. You basically have both characters feeling sorry for themselves and not communicating until the last chapter.

this. fucking. book. 5⭐️

I just knew it was going to be a flop. I don’t normally like when a couple is introduced in a book series as a couple and then later we get a book about them splitting up. Normally that book consists of nothing but miscommunication that COULD easily be fixed, but they drag it out for the entirety of the book, just to say they got their own story. This is exactly that. I just felt like there could’ve been more to it, she seemed so selfish to me. It’s just not my cup of tea.

Complicated is right. The tangled web of a mess that has be once of this “it was always them” couple was a satisfying read for sure. So many times I would just want to scream for our FMC to “TELL HIM ALREADY”. Miscommunication is probably my most hated trope but in this we get to understand all the reasons she just couldn’t and the way that twists the knife was so well done I think.

This second chance, college romance is book 3 in the Lindon U series. It was my least favorite of the series, mostly because the reason why the MCs broke up in the first place was one of my least favorite trope, where one character decides what's best for the other character without so much as telling them why, much less have a discussion about it. I also don't understand why there wasn't any trigger warnings listed at the beginning of the book when there was in the first 2 books and there were definitely triggers in this one (not much triggers me, so I didn't care, but it would've been nice for the ones that do, so you'll have to look it up).
