I fell in love with B. Celeste's writing while reading this book. There was so much pain and sorrow in this book that you can't help but going through all the feels along with the characters. I finished this book last night and I needed to sleep to process the book. I cried so much throughout the book. So be prepared with a box of tissues. The one thing I didn't like was the ugly cry and the heartbreak that I felt along with the characters.
When we first meet Raine and Caleb it is after she rejects his proposal. When she tells him the reason, he knows she isn't telling the truth but is still heartbroken. All of the plans that he sees includes them together. When it feels like his world is falling apart, she comes home and even knowing he needs to move on they are still pulled together. All of their family knows they are meant to be together. These two characters go through so much separately, together they are stronger.
This is my first book in the series and by this author but I loved it and cannot wait to go back and read more of the series. This book, while highly emotional is in the top 20 of my favorite for the year and I cannot wait to go back and read it again.
