I can't believe I haven't read this until this year. A great little story for kids.

Hands down, the best book on inspiration ever written.

I think I can, I think I can, I think I can

My mom read this to me some when I was little to try to give me an "I can do it" attitude!! She would always remind me of the story when I felt like giving up on something.

One of my childhood favorites. ❤️

I loved this book as a child and it still is a wonderful book to buy any child.

Classic nursery story. I got my copy from Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. Classic story of hardship and never giving up even when things are hard. Great story for children and especially those that love trains!

when i was in elementary school my younger siblings literally had me read this to me so many times that when they played it over the loudspeakers at my school i recited it along with the reader in perfect synchronization. i hated it SO much lol. great book.

Obviously a classic. I’ve read many versions of this story, this one was the first installment in a Dolly Parton children’s book subscription. Seemed a little more redundant than I remembered and the way the trains were gendered felt a little sus.
