Seriously some of the best comic to audiobook premise I’ve ever heard. I seriously love how you can hear the narrations of each character and hear their thoughts. I loved Superman’s voices compared to lexs and the simple nods to Superman from the movies to the comics Phenomenal
I know I read this run, back in high school or middle school. I have memories of reading them in someone's bedroom but for the life of me I can't remember who's house it was. That's what happens when you get old!
Some of this worked for me - the over-arching concepts - and some of it just didn't. Quietly's art has never been my favourite and Grant's colouring isn't either. Even Morrison's characterizations of Lois and Jimmy seem a bit off to my taste. His Clark and Lex are almost perfect though, so I forgive him for some things. Quintum is a weird beast that I really do not enjoy. My favourite issues were #5 The Gospel According to Lex Luthor and #8 Us Do Opposite.

My first ever Superman comic and it seemed like the perfect choice. Gunn had sighted this as one of the main inspirations for his recent adaptation, I was even given a copy of the first issue for free when I went to see the film! Morrison's exploration of the character is wonderful, putting Clark through a variety of out-this-world sci-fi mayhem, all of which focuses on Superman's greatest virtues - his kindness, his compassion, and his selflessness. A truly beautiful book, one that I will go back to in future for when I need an uplift.

Superman as a character is arguably one of the most misunderstood comic book characters by audiences thanks to his previous adaptations outside of comics… but with All-Star Superman, Grant Morrison really delivers one of the most emotionally-charged, human stories for the Man of Tomorrow.
The art is impeccable and the story itself flies by, issue after issue. The idea of a 12-issue run following the last days of Superman & Clark Kent, as he’s finally been beaten and faces certain death, is just a really great concept for a character that so many see as overpowered, unstoppable, and immortal.
And having seen James Gunn’s take on Superman now, the inspiration from the vibes of this book — and even some of the lines of dialogue — are taken straight from the pages of this book, and it’s for the better. Absolutely loved everything about this. Top-tier comic book and what the medium should always strive to be.
