This is a book that I'd highly recommend and will definitely be buying and sharing with my friends and love ones. 
I love behind the seasons view of the Met and all of the Art Appreciation and Art History. Very engaging - feels like he is sitting there telling you his life story. 
One caution - one theme is experiencing the death of a loved one and its aftermath so avoid this if you find that triggering.
