Melanie Harlow (Cloverleigh Farms, #4)

"How do you know you're in love with her?"

“Because when I think about her, my heart races. Because when she’s in the room, I can hardly breathe. Because I want to be with her all the time. Because I want to do things for her that make her smile. Because when she’s happy, I’m happy. Because she’s the first person in my head when I wake up, the last person I think about before I fall asleep, and the only person in the world who makes me feel like I’m the person I want to be.”

Newly divorced single mother Sylvia Sawyer moves back to her hometown, Cloverleigh Farms, and kicks off a friendship with also freshly divorced Henry DeSantis, when she takes up a job working with him.

Okay listen, I know that was a super long quote but I would honestly make it my entire review if I could because the way Henry loves Sylvia is the way all women should strive to be loved and I will die on this hill.

This was a really cute single mom romance with a lot of domestic, sweet scenes that tug at your heart. Individually, it's really hard not to love both characters because they're wonderful. Sylvia is a mother just trying to do the absolute best for her kids, while Henry is an honest, steadfast man who just wants to take care of Sylvia the way she takes care of everyone around her.

Their relationship was so cute and I loved it. Steamy scenes (we're talking role play here, people) that had my eyes widening at times. Even though there was some slightly predictable third act drama, I liked that the conflict wasn't between the couple, but rather, something external that they worked through.

The star of the show for me was honestly Henry, because I loved seeing how willing he was to fight for Sylvia and their family. He had some amazing moments where he showed just how much he cared and just how much he was willing to conquer the world for her.

I wish we got to see their relationship develop over a longer period of time, because the whole story happens pretty quick, but you can still feel their connection. But, I love the small town vibes of this entire series
Spoiler even if I am definitely picking up that Frannie and Mack are Melanie Harlow's faves just based on how many times they make an appearance compared to the others

3.5/5.0 - the story was good but I thought it was a lot slower than the other books in the series.

I have been looking forward to reading Sylvia's story and this book did not disappoint. I loved being back at Cloverleigh Farms. I knew this was going to be emotional and it just consumed me. Ms. Harlow has a way of writing that really grabs hold of you and just pulls on your heart strings.
Sylvia and Henry's past really left a mark on them and these two characters find something in each other that will have you feeling ALL the feels. Sylvia's story might just be my favorite of this series so far.
And now I sit not so patiently waiting on April's story. This is ABSOLUTELY a must read!!

Another second chance romance with another sister in this series. Sylvia has moved back to Cloverleigh Farm with her two children after her husband cheated on her and has new baby on the way with his new woman.
She connects with Henry who works in the winery on the farm and he’s had a marriage breakdown too and is lonely and spends late nights working.
I enjoyed the chemistry between the two, Sylvia is more forward than her sisters and goes after what she wants. Her dilemma is, is she ready for another romance and are her children going to be ok with it.
Another good romance in this series and I enjoyed their relationship develop.

So, I just wrapped up the book and I really liked it! It wasn’t mind-blowing or anything, but still super enjoyable. It was hilarious! I really connected with the fact that she’s a single mom. I think I've found a new trope that I totally love. The romance was a big deal in this book, and it felt genuine, but they also had that whole sunflower vibe going on. I wasn’t a fan of that in her last book, but I think she nailed it this time. I just didn’t vibe with the previous one as much, you know? Regardless, I loved this one and can’t wait for the fifth book! I’m also excited to dive into more of her stuff.

Henry and Sylvia. He’s the winemaker at her family farm. He’s also a recent divorcée. She’s a mom of two kids and a recent divorcée as well. He struggled with fertility and reproduction in his marriage. She dealt with infidelity. Plus, we have two kids reeling from the demise of their parents’ relationship

Of course they’re going to become friends and they’re going to discover things that no one else knows. Of course they’re going to fall in love. Of course everyone around them will figure it out. But Whitney’s fear and Sylvia’s response to put her kids first was beautifully done.

JCrew Kimmy. Mia and Lucas. The Sawyer clan.

We got our HEA but it felt like there was a lot of repetition. Things that only needed to be said once were repeated, many times. I skipped ahead to read the epilogue and the surprise baby felt like too much.

Overall, it was sweet but forgettable.

HENRY!!!!

We love a hot science nerd obsessed with crops and wine.

Both Henry and Sylvia are freshly divorced, but find comfort in each other. They become close, and then stop fighting their natural pull towards each other. They have steamy hot AF sneaky sex. The tie??? Wow.

But Sylvia’s kids come first. So she has to end their sexy scenarios.

But Henry is a fighter. And he’s fighting for what he loves - and he loves her.

This book was so cute. I absolutely love Silvia and Henry, they both went through so much and yet both stayed so strong. Their friendship blossomed and their chemistry was undeniable. Silvia is such a strong women who always puts her children first and it was nice to see her finally allow herself to do something that made her happy. Henry was so understanding regarding Silvia’s situation and bearing in mind she has two kids. I love how Whitney eventually bought them together and they were so happy. I loved the epilogue and seeing how they managed to conceive a baby and Henry finally got the chance to be a dad. I’m really enjoying this series! Would recommend.

I absolutely loved this second chance at life and love romance! I have watched Sylvia try to hide her pain throughout this series and could not wait for her story. I must say that right from the first chapter she proved that she was totally bada$$ and a woman I definitely wanted to read about! Sylvia has moved back home after her marriage failed to be with her supportive and loving family. She is determined to be stronger, more independent and a good single mother. She is excited to learn more about running her family farm, and all about wine from Cloverleigh Farms WineMaker, Henry DeSantis. Henry is also newly divorced, and heartbroken over missed chances at having a family. He and Sylvia connect right from the start, bonding not only over shared heartbreak, but over the excitement of wine making. They make each other feel alive again and believe in second chances. But Sylvia's new life is complicated and being together is not easy when they need to put her kids first. I loved both Sylvia and Henry so much! Sylvia was such a good mom, but also brave, smart and funny. I totally swooned over Henry, he was kind, patient, nerdy, and deliciously dirty! They were so perfect for each other, and their chemistry was combustible as it leaped right off the page! I also loved catching up with all the Sawyer sisters and the men who stole their hearts, they added so much hilarity to this story. This series just keeps getting better with each sister, and each hero outdoes the last in sexy alpha swooniness! I love Harlow's beautiful, genuine stories with rich, alluring characters that I want to be friends with. I can't help getting happily lost in her words. I was totally engaged in this fun, emotional, and sexy romance and I can't wait for April's story next!
