I really loved this and I want to give a copy to every power lady in my life. Very helpful, actionable tips throughout, and I was very inspired by the list of female fight clubs at the end. Women rule.

3.5

Quick read and pretty entertaining! Advice seemed solid as well, but I think this is definitely geared at early-career or college women.

This book was great. Some people will be turned off by its light, "young" tone, but there is plenty of good advice - especially if you work in an industry/workplace that trends male and/or "old school" (uh, like I do). Despite its conversational quality, the book is well-supported by research and contains a notes section full of great resources. Now I want to start a salon or a FFC dinner club!

Me encanto! Lo super recomiendo! Todas podremos identificarnos con las situaciones del libro, y las recomendaciones y/o conclusiones que se pueden extraer de él son super útiles y aplicables. Lo recomiendo, yo lo leí en ingles, pero esta disponible en español.

This is an entertaining book, but not an in-depth work by any means. It's very tumblresque, full of cartoons and quizzes. Some of the illustrations are blurry (wrong resolution).

Funny as hell. Listened to this because I have three daughters. Good smart read.

Feminist Fight Club has a lot of useful information. I particularly thought the section on salary negotiation was really well-written and offered tangible steps to follow. The layout of the book is great for people who might need quick tips or a boost of encouragement. Aside from that, this book was a tough read. This book was filled with so many moments that felt like Bennett was trying to make "happen." Consistent overuse of terms like "womenemy," "herfectionism," "manterrupting," "sororicide," "vagfirmative action," etc. felt less like trying to make a heavy topic fun and more like the pursuit of branding opportunity. Intersectionality is touched on, but only briefly, and moments where the author assigns spirit animals to certain personality types, praises Beyoncé, and boasts about her knowledge of Missy Elliott lyrics smack of tokenism. I was also intensely put off by Bennett's repeated association of womanhood with anatomy. I wouldn't consider this book to be inclusive to the LGBTQ+ community. Although the information here is useful, I think its usefulness will have diminishing returns for folks of multiple underrepresented identities.

Is your office sexist against women? You need this book. Jessica Bennett offers lots o’ tips on how to handle situations that arise at work. And she has badass feminist playlists and other ephemera sprinkled throughout.

I read this book in a matter of a few days, as I was hoping to learn some big tips in my workplace! I really loved how empowering this book felt! I would definitely recommend :)

Shout out to my sister for letting me borrow it! <3 I have used many tips given in the book, and have also passed those tips on to some of my fellow womenfolk!
