Overall pretty fun, although it had a prologue and that kind of pissed me off. A prologue in a novella? Really.

Tessa Dare's prose is always delightful. I knocked a star off because I'm a big baby and I didn't like how Imposing and somewhat condescending the male love interest is.

Goodness gracious this book was tons of fun! I loved Miss Eliza Cade and I thought that Harry Wright was a wonderfully written character. These two kept crossing paths over the years and there were sparks flying in every direction but because Eliza could not be wed until her older sisters were, she was on the back burner. This didn’t stop her and Harry from getting to know each other and falling more and more in love, even if they don’t realize it at the time. I loved Eliza’s family and I would love to see them each get a story of their own. Tessa Dare is a fun, funny, and sexy addition to any historical romance library.

I enjoyed reading this novella. The story was spread out over several years and I liked how the characters grew up through that time and came together.

Overall I thought this was a fun short read that was a quick palate cleanser between books that take more "work" to get through. I enjoyed the enemies to lovers plot, even though the time jumps made the pacing a bit awkward.
I thought Harry suddenly joining the army was a bit random and seemed out of character, but I enjoyed the rest enough to forgive it

Cute novella but it could have been 10-20 pages longer. I loved how the relationship progressed but the ending was rushed compared to the rest of the novella.

This story takes place during a few years. Which is great since it is a novella, and then the lovestory works well.

Eliza wants to be out, but her 3 sisters needs to marry before her. So she waits, and waits. She meets a man, a no good scoundrel, a rake, someone who always shows up when she least wants it.

They circle around each other for years. Her sisters marry, she is getting closer. And she was fun, and it was amusing to read about. And yes I did not like Harry at first, because he was such a rake! But as the years go by, maybe he is not really such a rake. Maybe he is a sweetie.

I liked it. Aww novellas in audio are fun!

A great narrator with distinct fun voices. She made these fun
