I really enjoyed this! Some of the plot twists were predictable, and I wish that Freya had the sense to observe what was going on with those closest to her (I'm looking at you Bjorn), but the banter and the world-building made it a worthwhile read!

I'm so sad that the concept was so good and the characters were all so very interesting... but the way this was written fell SO flat through the second half of it. I actually loved the cast and there was definitely so much potential for the story and the world building-- but throughout the latter half of it all it just felt like a big ol' "Look at this! Look at that!" deal.

i'm so disappointed ugh, I genuinely enjoyed how hooked I was from the beginning. Now I can only lament about how that excitement of mine sizzled down way too quickly throughout reading this book.
