3✨ This has been on my shelf for a long time so I finally picked it up. Plot was interesting but didn’t really like the characters.

3.5 rounding down. The end is the most interesting of the story. The pacing was ok throughout, but I didn't feel any particular time sensitive need that she needed complete. There wasn't a problem she needed to face and conquer, and I felt the need for her was overblown. Though I guess in those days, raiding and such is the way of life, and having a weapon such as her would guarantee victory. But eh. I'll read #2, though I won't be holding my breath for it. Rather disappointed with all the hype this got.

Reading fantasy based on Norse mythology was fresh. The magic system where gods gift a drop of their blood at conception is unique. Plot and pacing was fairly good but the ending felt a little rushed.
