Could’ve been a no brainer 5 star read, but the amount of misogyny and racism that didn’t even add to the plot in any way ruined an otherwise fantastic book. You could cut out so many chapters and nothing of value would be lost.

Wow! This was always on my "to read" list and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it. Better than the movie and I was sorely disappointed that's not a "real" Mario Puzo authored sequel of what comes next in Michael Corleone's life.
