This was a marvelous into the mindset of the mafia and their people. The story hid the anthropology that is shown through the actions of the characters. Suddenly the movie makes more sense...

Όλα συνδυάζονται υπέροχα σε αυτό το βιβλίο. Η υπέροχη αφήγηση, η ενδιαφέρουσα πλοκή, οι πληροφορίες για το πως λειτουργεί η μαφία(έστω και με μια δόση ωραιοποίησης) οι απίστευτοι χαρακτήρες και η εξέλιξη τους, η όμορφες σκήνες, ο εξαιρετικός ρυθμός, τα πόντα! Είχα δει (όπως όλοι) την ταινία πριν διαβάσω το βιβλίο και δεν μπορώ να φανταστώ πόσο ταλέντο έχει ο Francis Ford Coppola για να την κρατήσει στο ύψος των περιστάσεων.

I expected it to be good but this exceeded my expectations. I’ve been a big fan of the films for years and really enjoyed this fleshing out some of the characters. It has also aged surprisingly well. Would have given 5 stars but some of the minor characters that it goes into really could of been cut and have not translated well to modern day.
