Instead of just reading the first book, I just went ahead and decided I would read all four books at once. So this review will be about the whole Hannaford Prep series as a whole. This is a dark series, very violent, and if I hadn’t just read Den of Vipers, I would say it is the most violent.

The story centers around Lips. The first book is mostly about her being bullied by Harley, Blaise, and Ash. It was your basic high school bully story – and even in the first book in the Hannaford Prep series, there isn’t even a romance. The first book sets up the series, and it isn’t until book two that stuff really starts happening. Lips and her bullies come to an understanding, and we start to learn more about lips and who she really is, and this continues in books three and four.

To really enjoy this, you need to read the whole series. The boys really grew on me as I read through the books, as did the wonderful cast of side characters. Though I have to admit, Avery is my favorite. To echo a sentiment Lips mentions several times, I would marry Avery in a second if I were into girls.

Let me reiterate this book is DARK. There is basically every trigger ever in this book. There are a lot of parts that are hard to read. But I enjoyed this story, and I am very much looking forward to the spin-off I think is coming soon.

Just Drop Out: 4.5 Stars This series has been on my radar for a while and decided to dive in on a whim. This was about 300 pages of pure anxiety. But my gosh is Eclipse strong. (No I will not call her by her nickname, not quite yet) Everyone in this book is reprehensible and since this is turning into a Mariana Zapata-eques slow burn situation I'm hoping there's some redemption on the cards. But purely for Eclipse and her journey through the viper den that is Hannaford Prep, I'm sucked in. Take me on a journey, Ms. Bree. Gimmie what you got.

Make Your Move 4.75 stars So I started this series roughly about 24 hours or so ago and I've already finished book 2 and this was almost as slow moving romance wise as book 1. But the tension, the twists and all the drama hooked me for real. Eclipse might be my favourite RH heroine EVER. She has a spine of titanium and watching Blaze, Harley and Ash slowly lower their shields and give in to their attraction..it's kind of a beautiful thing to see. There's still plenty of characters that are completely deplorable and I'm pretty sure Joey might take the place of my hated character in any literature I've ever read.

Play The Game 4.5 Stars... Um excuse me...what?! This series is seriously giving me an anxiety attack, not to mention the fact I often forget that these characters are 17/18 years old! AH! I saw that ending coming but only because I accidently read the start of the blurb for book 4 and WOW. Just wow.

To The End 3.75 Stars Don't get me wrong I inhaled this book and the plot was so fast paced I could barely look away. But..and it's a pretty big but, Eclipse was clearly picking favourites here. And a lot of the story threads that kept me hooked for 4 books were either so quickly dealt with or not dealt with at all. Like...where the hell was Diarmuid? What's happening with the Devil? I enjoyed this series as a whole but this book pulled down what potentially could have been an overall 5* rating to a four. Because they did Blaise dirty as heck.

Read this, read this, read this!!!!!

I enjoyed every single one of the books in this series. Lips is one of the coolest characters to “watch”. The world building was good, and I am so excited that there are so many other books related and intertwined with this one. I can’t wait to read them.

I originally found the audio book on my scribd subscription, but I have since bought it on audible so I could keep it,

DNF’d this at the last book cause it just wasn’t doing it for me. Their ages were so not believable and I could just tell myself they were in college instead of high school

Couldn't get past all the errors. Even the very first line says the forest are instead of is.

So freaking fantastic

Please read this series. It will change your life in the best of ways. Make sure you have no commitments for a couple of days before you start, though, because you will NOT be able to stop once you start!

An entertaining story although the body count did start to get silly.
