From the writing style to the highly convoluted story that had no beginning and seemed to go nowhere, up until the strangely un-alive characters, I just hated this book from page 20 onwards. Still, I soldiered on, hoping for the best. It was not to be, and I abandoned it about 3/4 in. Not sorry.
