I really enjoyed reading this story, which moved quickly, dealt with a number of interesting topics, and had very intriguing and unique (if not particularly likeable) characters.

I read a lot comparing this book to Gone Girl, and I think that if you enter into this book thinking it will be like that, you're missing out. Luckiest Girl Alive is a strong story in its own right.

Interesting plot, good writing, and unique characters. Definitely worth a read!

This book was very okay.
I find it strange that so many people compare this to Gone Girl. In Gone Girl, the main character DOES a lot and CAUSES a lot to happen. She put every major plot line into motion with her own actions and decisions.

The main character in this book, in addition to being vain and stupid, only reacts. The entire book is a reaction to some event that has happened to her. I'm not sure if we're supposed to be happy for TifAni at the end when she makes her life-changing decisions, but I didn't really care about her at all.

I also could have done without the ultra graphic description of 14 year olds being murdered.

As a teacher and mother, I don’t want to read about school shootings. If I had known that this book contained a pretty detailed account of a school shooting, I would not have read it.

But, having read it (and needing to finish it so there was closure and to prevent nightmares), I can review it in the sense that it is a decent story with a well-developed protagonist. I definitely would not say it’s comparable to Gone Girl. I hated Gone Girl. I did not hate Ani.

It took a little bit to get into the book and there were parts that seemed to ramble and it was difficult to follow. But once the plot got going, it was a good read.

Great book. Fun to read.

I really liked the beginning of the book. The ending was boring

I feel like this book needs to have a trigger warning re: eating disorders. I have a history with disordered eating and the book is taking me back into an unhealthy place in my mind.

This was pretty good. It took me a bit to get into, but I think that was more because I had heard it compared to Gone Girl and I didn't get it. It's not like that at all. But an interesting read nonetheless

I was just very underwhelmed with this. The story is just a survivors story. If you know what happens to her you know the story that’s all. There isn’t any twist any turns NOTHING! It was almost boring. Sorry I’m a little bit cold hearted with it because I’m just like ugh we all have a story. Just bored me.
