Fun stuff! Was laughing all through the first half of how absurd this book is, but it kept me engaged enough to want to find out WHY.

I enjoyed this horror short. Captivating, disturbingly crafted and creepy as hell. Well-written, and loved the choice of twisted language. Really worth the time for a quick read. Now I'm going to go read Kin by the same author!

HEY. NOT TOO SHABBY OF A BOOK.
it was a super fast read, but man there's a lot of suspense and tension. plus, the boy TERRIFIED me and pissed me off. idk something about him just watching guard over the dad reversed the traditional power dynamics, which added to the appeal of the plot.
i also liked the end where the author tricks you...hehehe, I definitely was happy and then....
ALSO THE SOUR CANDY? OKAY MR. BURKE, ILL GIVE YOU POINTS FOR CREATIVITY, I LIKED THAT VERY MUCH.
i lowkey wanna read his other works cuz they're hella short (you can knock them out in an hour or two) but are PACKED with suspense and tension. not too shabby at all.
