A bit of a disappointment. Dipped its toe into Lovecraftian horror, which I don't find particularly scary. The explanation of what's happened comes quickly and results in the tension evaporating. Writing style was annoying and flabby in places, with sentences that probably could've been edited down.

Sour Candy is one of those stories that just gets under your skin. The concept is deeply disturbing, and the way the horror unfolds is genuinely unsettling. It’s short but packs a punch—once it starts, there’s no stopping. Creepy, weird, and totally horrifying.
