Not what I was expecting… at all. Loved this creepy cosmic tale and I hope I think about it every time I eat a sour candy.

I saw this come up time after time as a recommended short horror story in the Kids are Evil genre. It's also very much a cosmic horror.

It's short, it's horrorific, main character Paul is proactive (no time to sit around whining!), and there are answers on what is happening and why (as much as you can have answers when it comes to cosmic horror).

Solid.

The dread and psychological elements in this one really got me. In my opinion this worked really well for a short story! I was interested to know more about the “Elders” but overall I really loved this one. Definitely interested in picking up more from this author!
