I didn’t hate reading this book but I didn’t like it either! I seem to be one of the few who didn’t really enjoy it but to be honest it just felt a little pointless to me and was rather disappointed in the ending

This is my first horror read and don't necessarily have anything to compare it to. However, it was interesting, but the writing and story could be better. I think if it wasn't a short story it could have been better, but I think the concept didn't make up for the lack of plot.
As if I needed more proof that Walmart is one of the most creepiest places in the known universe, KPB has more horror this time in a familiar setting, this making it all the more scarier. In many ways you could argue that this is now deranged than Kin. That's especially impressive when you realize that this is a short story under 100 pages, but regardless still manages to give you all the suspense and thrills that you get from a full length novel. Easily one of his best!
