Mead was able to create another brilliant book without using the same plot. The story progressed extensively. I loved the jail break - although I thought how they used their own credit cards was foolish. I knew Dimitri would be saved which is sort of disappointing. I still want Rose & Adrian together even though I know they will never be together for long. I was impressed with Lissa's persistence and strength. My guess is Mead will make Lissa the next queen. Especially, since she continued to describe her as regal and queen-like. I honestly hope Abe comes back significantly for the last book. I love his mysterious ways. I even enjoy Sydney and hope she helps Rose again. I have my suspicions on who killed the queen. I figured Lissa had an illegitimate sibling since her father created a bank account for a mysterious woman. I am excited and sad about ending this series. I have thoroughly enjoyed it.
