So, all in all, a VERY good book. But I may change my mind when I read the next one.

Dimitri is still on the hunt for Rose, after her stake (somewhat dubiously) fell out of his heart. I have to say, this is a rather interesting plot flaw, as I somehow think stakes aren't budged by a river. And then!!!!!!!!!! LISSA BROUGHT HIM BACK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AND THEN HE WORSHIPS HER :( and also tells Rose that he doesn't love her anymore, even when she forgives him for making her his (virtual) blood whore. Which most people wouldn't. And then she is arrested for killing Tatania which is VERY awkward as she spent the night with Adrian. Which also giver her a good motive for killing Tatania and ends up in prison. Good times.So, all in all, a VERY good book. But I may change my mind when I read the next one.
Rose and Lissa return to the Moroi capital and all its political intrigue. Life is less than perfect however considering that Dimitri is now stalking Rose with threats to kill her because she wouldn't become Strigoi for him, the queen is being oddly friendly to Rose and Lissa and Christian are still on the outs. Even though she knows it's impossible, Rose is obsessed with the idea of saving Dimitri, of somehow bringing back a Strigoi. When Lissa and Rose see a chance to get the information they need to make that happen, they seize it and the ripples of that action will end up changing a lot more than either girl ever intended.
Another awesome addition to the VA series. The books just keep getting better. Mead has set up some real dilemas and doesn't let her characters off lightly. While Rose has grown a lot as a character her underlying recklessness and impulsiveness is still very much in play and mucking things up. Great plot, descriptions, characterization and just every darn thing. I was so sad when I turned the last page of this book because I wanted to keep reading. Waiting for the next book is going to be pure torture. I want to know what happens NOW!

Holy cow. Awesome. [a:Richelle Mead|137902|Richelle Mead|http://photo.goodreads.com/authors/1270374609p2/137902.jpg] has done it again. I stayed up all night reading it. Amazing. Rose and Adrian...Rose and Dimitri...hmmm. The action scenes were intense and so were the few intimate scenes. I hope Dimitri forgives himself before it's too late. I'm glad Lissa and Christian made up, but what a cliff hanger - ugh! You're killing me Miss Mead. I can't wait for more - awesome, awesome, awesome!!!
This book is a whirlwind of feels! Heart wrenching and captivating, spirit bound is definitely one of my favorite books
I have NO words for how awesome this book was!!! My mind is going a mile a minute. I literally had knots in my stomach the whole time reading it due to nervousness, excitement, & anticipation. Everything about this book was perfection! My mind is blown!
