I always seem to go into the books from this series expecting to not really enjoy them, to find it a bit of a stuggle to get through, and everytime I am proved wrong.
This book is fast paced and I really like and care about the characters.
I LOVE Adiran sooooo much he is just adorable and romantic, I just love him and he has grown on me so much throughout this series, but I can't help but agree with his mother, Him and Rose are definatley not right for eachother and I know that Adrian is going to get his heart broken and I am not emotionally prepared for this.
Rose and Dimitri are perfect for eachother and I really liked how their relationship was portrayed in this book it was very believable and was just what I would expect Dimitri to do and I know Rose would do the same if she was in his position.

I think that the character development throughout this series is amazing and I just love watching Rose grow, learn and really flourish as a gaurdian and a friend she is no longer a child and is having to make a lot of really tough decisions that overall, i feel she does a pretty good job with. The story pulls you in pretty quickly and I really liked that no story line felt like it dragged on, this kept the story felling really fresh and kept me intrigued and anticipating what was going to come next
Spoiler When Lissa turns Dimitri back into a Dhampir halfway through I was pleasently surprised as I thought this was going to take much longer. and WOW that was an amazing scene and I loved how strong Lissa has become. Also her relationship with Christian was so great, I loved seeing them grow closer and both of them not fully realsing just how strong their feelings are for eachother <3

Dimitir trying to keep Rose away from him and saying that he no longer loves her was 1) A LIE and 2)understandable but like why they are perfect for eachother

That ending was amazing I didn't see it coming and it had me shook and I am left with so many questions. I am excited to read the next book and hopefully find a satisfying ending.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and am loving this series. I just can't believe it has taken me this long to fianally get around to it.

Why I chose this book:
This series is so addicting. Everything is culminating, and you can just feel the build up. Everything is going to hit the fan, and I want to be there when it does.

3 things you need to know about this book:

1. Do the ends really justify the means?
So close to the beginning of the book, Rose has another one of her crazy plans: she’s going to bust Victor Dashkov out of Tarasov, the Moroi prison. Victor has been painted in previous novels as a selfish, power-hungry Moroi if there ever was one. He was willing to kill —and did kill to a certain extent —in order to get what he wanted.

However, Rose thinks that Victor has the key to turning Dimitri back into a Dhampir. Could it be true? Everyone replied with a resounding ‘no’, but obviously, it’s Rose and the impossible will somehow be possible when it comes to her. Yet, this begs the question if the ends justify the means. So many people get hurt, her friends are put in peril, and a known fugitive is freed from prison… but for what? For the sake of a single man (turned Strigoi)?

Rose is run by her emotions, and sometimes it pays off … other times it doesn’t. But in reality, this question is asked frequently and makes you wonder what you would do for the person you loved.

2. Dhampir vs. Moroi.
Again, I find this culture completely fascinating with how the Dhampirs willingly protect the Moroi at the expense of their lives; whereas, most Moroi never lift a finger, even to protect themselves if it comes to that. I found that the Moroi wanting control over the Dhampirs and that movement similar to that of the feminist movement —or should I say the opposition to the feminist movement.

Moroi have the desire to stay docile, and there are still many women who hold to that —and even more men. Yet, when a few Moroi stand up and really want to learn to fight, that creates absolute chaos. Moroi had once been fighters alongside Dhampir, just like women used to fight battles and rule nations, but fear has kept them scared and the disunity has created factions —something the Strigoi prey on.

3. Dimitri as a broken character.
*Slight Spoiler*
Dimitri, after having been brought back, is quite the broken character, and I will say my heart broke for him as well. I loved that Mead showed his transformation in this fashion. He had killed so many people when he was a Strigoi, he lost part of himself. Just like killing people cause your humanity to chip away. I just really liked that she did that in this book, and I thought it was worth mentioning.

Final Thoughts:
This was a good book. I felt like it was a bridge between Blood Promise and Last Sacrifice, but everything mentioned was exciting and valid, so obviously nothing was boring, but it didn’t keep me from thinking that this book was a bridge. If I remember correctly, I finished this book in 24 hours. It was an easy and quick read.

OH SHIT. (Not very elegant, I know, but still an accurate depiction of my thoughts right now.)

This book was so difficult to read. I hated Rose and her immature decisions. It reminded me to America from The Selection series. Ughhhhhhhh why she haven't grow up by this point I mean I just read the fifth book what the hell!!!?

CLIFFHANGER!!!!!!!!

Not going to lie, this was probably my least favorite book in the series so far. I was just so much drama and to be honest, I really can't stand Adrian. It wasn't as enjoyable to get through as the other books but don't get me wrong, I still loved it. I love all of this books. I am kind of obsessed. I don't know what I am going to do with myself once I finish these books. I guess I might start reading the bloodlines series.

*Contain spoilers if you haven’t read the previous books in the series

I was just saying how I can’t seem to get into Y.A. and here I am reviewing another Y.A. book LOL. That’s the thing, there are some series that I simply can’t deny and Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead, is definitely one of those. I’ve been postponing reading this latest installment, waiting to get closer to the release of the last book in the series, so a couple of says ago i finally read it and I LOVED it!

Richelle is a master in the art of writing stories full of heart and action, not to mention characters that move you so much, you can’t really tell real from fiction.

Rose is one of my favorite heroines ever and even though she has gone through many different kinds of hell, places a 17 year-old should never come close to, in Spirit Bound she has to deal with even grander obstacles.

At the beginning of Spirit Bound we find our girl Rose still with Aidrian and finally getting to take her final test to become a guardian. The test is nothing but a blur after all that she goes through, throughout the novel. Prison Breaks, Sacrifices and Heart Breaks are only a few of the trials our heroine has to survive, not to mention the killer way Richelle ended the book, giving a little taste of the problems yet to come.

I got to see all my favorites back in this book, Dimitri, Christian, Tasha, Adrian. But, I have to admit that I am sick and tired of Lissa. Yeah, yeah she is a good friend, but the way she acted towards the end of the book pissed me off!

All in all, Spirit Bound is a fantastic addition to this incredible series, I couldn’t put this book down for a second not to mention all the tears I cried by the end of the novel! I’m just glad Last Sacrifice is coming out this Tuesday! I can’t wait!

While the third one was a little dragged, this one was PURE ACTION.

Of course Rose was the best novice in her trials. Was anyone expecting less? She's amazing. It's cute to see both of her parents there, both proud.

And then, like it's nothing, THEY BREAK INTO A PRISON AND RELEASE VICTOR! THAT WAS AWESOME! I hate to see the girls needing him after what he did to them, but Victor's got his sense of humour, I must admit.

Adrian showing up to Vegas was the funniest thing that happened, but I guess he did not find it this amusing.

It's great to find out that Strigoi can be turned back but it's not like we have many spirit Moroi, let's admit. Unless we find more of them, it's not like Lissa can go turning them all back.

Rose's relationship with Adrian is cute, I feel the chemistry....... but it's not the main ship, I'm sorry. I feel like Rose should be with Dimitri and Adrian should be with me. Simple as this. Adrian is a really sweet boyfriend, he does anything to make Rose happy BUT THE SPARK ONLY HAPPENS WITH DIMITRI!

Now, Dimitri. What do I do with you, you badass Russian hot guardian? You're back, as amazing as always and all at once you don't want to see Rose? I can't pretend I understand what's going on with you but she did a lot of things to save you, one way or another. You can take your time to figure things out but Rose is there trying to help you. YOU LOVE EACH OTHER. Everything will be fine, sweetie.

NOW, THE QUEEN HUH? WHAT WAS THAT? I GOT SO SHOCKED! I DID NOT LIKE HER IN THE LAST BOOKS BUT IN THIS ONE I WAS JUST ABOUT TO AND SHE'S STAKED! I'M SURE THEY KILLED HER BECAUSE OF LISSA'S HALF SIBLING BUT WOW, I DID NOT SEE IT COMING.
AND HOW CAN THEY THINK ROSE DID IT? I UNDERSTAND THEY DID NOT HAVE A GREAT RELATIONSHIP BUT IT WASN'T THIS BAD.

I thought the main issue of the end of the series was going to be about bringing Dimitri back BUT THERE'S SO MUCH MORE, CAN'T WAIT!

Bye, Gabi.

I have to give Richelle Mead credit, this is a long series and she still finds ways to shock me. This ending- I just..no.

Oh crap, that ending!! I did not see that twist coming…
