This one was pretty good, but not as good as the first book in the series. I still very much enjoyed Finlay and Vero.
I started this book while running my half marathon, and while I thought I could stay focused on the book for this run, I was mistaken haha. While I remember most of it, I definitely wasn’t as immersed in the book as I’d hoped to be and thus found myself needing a refresher to move on the next time I listened to the audiobook. Still a fun, quick mystery and I’m excited for the next book in the series

Oh Finlay, the situations you get yourself in. A good laugh, a mystery, and perfect blend of characters. Another fun read in this series.

This is the second book in the Finlay Donovan trilogy, and it it was another funny, far fetched but enjoyable easy read. I’d recommend these books if you’re in a reading slump, as they pique your interest enough to keep reading - wanting to find out how a Mum of 2 manages to become embroiled in a world of contract killing, dead bodies & a plot to off her ex husband. These books are fast paced, hilarious & although not exactly highbrow fiction, they are intelligently written. I already have the next book waiting, & look forward to seeing what Finlay ends up in next!
