I really wished I'd read this rather than listen to the audiobook. My favourite story was "Blackness".

I'm not sure what I just finished. Each vignette is dreamier than the last, not really stories but more of prose poems. The imagery in some is haunting and others just flew right past me

Wow, this was my first time reading any of Kincaid's writing and I am immediately enamoured. For me, these stories were immaculate and I will likely return to this book again and again.
