Where You End

Writing was lovely but the story was not for me. Almost DNF’d but hate doing it. Definitely elements I loved (the sisters closeness, secret language, intuition, etc.) but it was lacking something for me.

A creepy, disturbing cult-based novel, following the questionable past of mirror twins Jude and Kat. It’s billed as a thriller, but it’s slower-paced with tension and drama, so in my personal opinion, it’s more of a suspense.

Set in the 80s, the story opens with Kat coming out of a coma, not remembering anything from her past. Her twin sister, Jude, makes it her mission to help Kat relearn her past while also helping her build a present & future.  However, events & clues lead Kat to believe Jude may be lying, so Lat sets out to rediscover her past on her own terms.

This tale was definitely weird & twisted, exploring the unique mind/body connections twins often have.  While it had its 4-5⭐️ moments & was interesting, as a whole it didn’t knock my socks off.  It’s not a happy story, so don’t come looking here for anything too redeemable nor inspiring from the characters. However, if you love cult mysteries, and screwed up family systems, this book is for you.

This was pretty terrible lol, I didn’t like it at all. It was super weird and gross at times, I wanted to DNF multiple times including just 20 pages in, mostly because of the mirror twin stuff that I felt was taken a bit too far and got obnoxious. It wasn’t badly written but the story was all over the place and felt random and the romance thing she tried to include was completely unnecessary.

DID NOT FINISH

Dnf at 44%. Got bored with the main plot and the backstory was just detailing all the ways they were abused, which was both boring and gross.
