This was the best book!! It drags on for a bit then gets VERY interesting and I can't wait to read 13 curses the next book in the series
A brilliant take on traditional fairy folklore with relatable characters and huge discoveries. This book creates a great foundation for the next books in the trilogy.
The US audiobooks for the second and third books in the series don't exist yet, so I have a feeling I'm going to be neglecting some duties to make time to read them on Kindle.
A really awesome book. In the end, it did not go the direction I was expecting. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time!

took a while to finish because i just wasn’t that interested as the first part was entirely set up. here’s some things i noticed while reading:
the plot line was a tad confusing- was she going to save red? was she going to help steal babies with her? or maybe kill fairies? or even help fabian with his research?
in part one tasha was very over the top with her attitude, being bratty to everyone but i mainly noticed it with her mother on the way to florence’s house. it was fine after that though.
i also don’t see how the title was fitting. yeah, The Thirteen Treasures was brought up once or twice but entirely not enough to be relevant enough to be the title.
besides all that, when i forced myself to read it i found myself enjoying most chapters and curious to see where it would go. i loved the forest setting as well. overall a two out of five.

at first i was scared about the size and started reading it at the time i didn't like books and i judged them by the cover, so i start reading it and cant. i stopped and a few years later i pick it up and this book got me hooked and got me loving books.
One of my childhood all time favorites, great series. Lovable characters, intriguing fantasy world, with creepy undertones that are really well done. Love a good fairy story!!!
