The perfect cap on a show that Nickelodeon had DONE FUCKED UP. That cowardly network couldn't handle this bisexual magic and be transformed by the power of the gay agenda like Netflix was with She-Ra and the Princesses of Power. Luckily, one of the show runners produced this and we can bask in the glow of two bis living their truth.
Loved reading this whole collection again, I really enjoyed Korra and Azami together, dealing with other people knowing. Great series, can't wait to read all 3 parts of Ruins of the Empire!

Great fluid continuation from the animated series. The artwork is beautiful and the writing stays true to the characters. Can’t wait to read the next one!
This book is a good follow up to the end of TLOK, it starts immediately off with Korra and Asami in the spirit world. *Not going to treat korrasami like a spoiler bc I think everyone in the ATLA fandom knows they end up together* I liked how this book treated their relationship, and it was fun seeing all the characters reacting to their relationship. There was no cheap conflict of their friends being grossed out that two girls were dating. It just made me really happy that everyone was accepting of Korra and Asami.
Speaking of characters I feel that everyone's characters survived the screen to page transition well except for Korra in certain points. I feel like Korra reverted slightly back to her fight first ask questions later self in this book but I'm willing to excuse it bc that only happened
This book really just felt like another couple of episodes of the show, which is a good thing! It was funny but it also had stakes. And I got to see all my favorite characters again besides Su and Kuvira.
Tokuga gave me Kaz Brekker vibes bc of his haircut and the fact that he runs a gang.
It felt odd to me that this book was about mainly about gangs with a bit of spirit stuff mixed in considering the super high stakes of season 4 of the show. Spoilers for season 4 of TLOK.
There was ALOT going on in this book, like a lot. I could go on and on and on. I didn't really mind tho, probably bc I was so eager to know what happened after the end of season 4.
I liked this book a lot and I would definitely read it again. I was glad it had the Korrasami content that Nickelodeon was too cowardly to give. Can't wait until Ruins of the Empire(September 29th!!!)

Like where is Kuvira? Is she in prison? What kind of prison is she in, cause you know, metal. How is she mentally after Korra spared her? What happened to the Earth Empire after Kuvira surrendered? Is the country still in its fascist state or is Wu making reforms? There was ALOT going on in this book, like a lot.

So many plot threads, spirits mad, Korrasmai relationship, new spirit portal, tokuga getting infused with a spirit, elections for president(Raiko vs Zhu Li), refugees after events of season 4, proto-Walt Disney trying to make the spirit portal into a theme park, airbenders defending it, Iroh II and Untied republic army being there.I liked this book a lot and I would definitely read it again. I was glad it had the Korrasami content that Nickelodeon was too cowardly to give. Can't wait until Ruins of the Empire(September 29th!!!)

Cute book, I really love the development of Korra x Asami. The real downfall of this book is the villains. In the show “Legend of Korra” the problems of the spirit world don’t make any sense, and this carries through in this book. What made the original “Avatar the Last Airbender” so great was the consistency in side characters and villains, “Legend of Korra” lacks consistency in the villains, even in the comics. The villains are ever changing in each comic “series” and are hard to keep track of. The only reason I have stuck with it so far is due to Korra and Asami.
I loved the show and as soon as I found our there was a comic I was beyond happy, specially because I knew there was a lot of Korra and Asami in it. I loved it so much and I love them so much! Seeing bisexual women in comics, books, tvshows and movies makes me so happy to be honest. And it's not just that I just love that it's characters that are built well and have their own stories and struggles and it just makes it feel so normalized and it doesn't feel forced, it feels natural and sweet and it makes me so happy to read and see characters that I see parts of myself in, to feel represented.
Also the whole Tokuga thing opens a new window of possibilities for the Avatar universe, that was so interesting to me. Seeing their whole world evolve not only in the show but in this comics too.

re-read it and asdfghjkl I really hope we get more of Asami's backstory on the series taht's gonna come out this year
