4.5 ⭐ Very beautifully written.

An amazing follow up to The Fabric of our Souls. I believe this story broke my more then the first. I waited till I was in the right mindset to read this one and I’m glad I did. Be prepared this will break you and tragically yet beautifully put you back together.

Lanston was my favorite character from A Fabric of Our Souls. This book does justice to his character. He and Ophelia find each other, love, and closure in this beautiful story of tortured souls finding peace.

I want my love to haunt you.  …until the water in the ocean dries, and we’re all that’s left in this cruel world. But just remember I will love you until the stars die.

This is the spinoff book that comes after Fabric of Our Souls.

This is the emotional, heartwarming and sometimes heartbreaking story of two mentally unwell ghost who lost their way and are desperately trying to find the light.

This book tugged at my heart strings. Told from dual perspectives  and in such a way that I felt just about every emotion you could think of. It was raw, honest, sad, devastating, and heartwarming all at the same time. I loved this story and give it 4.5 stars. Only because I loved fabric of our souls just a tiny bit batter and gave it a 5.

If you take any of my book recommendations, please pick fabric of our souls and this book up and read them. They are honestly the best of the best in my opinion.

I loved this more than the previous book! Hands down

I adore this writing.

I really wanted to love this because I absolutely ADORED fabric of our souls, but unfortunately this just didn’t do it for me. The story was absolutely beautiful and so well written, but I found myself really struggling to connect with our main characters and the romance as a whole. I also am the type of person who really needs an intriguing plot alongside the romance and this book was very much so a love story, a beautifully tragic one at that. But for that reason it wasn’t for me personally but I can see why this book would be so so well loved by so many! The mental health rep was incredible and it truly was unlike anything I’ve ever read before!

I ABSOLUTELY cried after reading this book, which I also cried after the first one, so it only makes sense. K.M. has such a way with how this story was written, you will fall in love!

If you have not read Fabric of our Souls please please please go do it! This is considered a spinoff from it, but it will make more sense to read that one first! It's such a poetic, beautiful, and enchanting story you won't want to put down. Also, please check TW for this story as it's romanticizing death but also has other death type subjects.

So we follow Lanston, who had passed in book 1, but he's stuck in the world just as a ghost. He still stays at the mental hospital with other ghosts who lived there before they passed. We also meet Ophelia, who is a beautiful ghost that Lanston meets and falls for. These two slowly go on a journey to find peace and help others find their peace. This is a heavy and dark story.

The pace is a bit slower, but with the heaviness we get in the story, it makes sense to unravel all the layers slowly to not rush anything. There are a lot of spots for readers to also feel similar feelings. But also from the dark we got a lot of beautiful light that makes everything worth it. There is lots of closure, healing, and forgiveness throughout the story! The ending was absolutely perfect even if I cried like a baby!!

I received this as an eARC in exchange for my honest review. Thank you K.M. Moronova for such a beautiful little duology!

I am less scared of dying now

When I tell you I cried my eyes out in the last chapters of this book… Lanston is such an angel and the epilogue of seeing Wynn and Liam. Moronova is a master of her craft and I’m so happy for this phantom’s happily ever after.
