My Kindle has been recommending this book to me for probably about a month now and I have to say my Kindle was not wrong I thoroughly enjoyed this book.
This book is a slow burn poly romance between three men that come together through quite odd circumstances. I'm not typically one to read slow burn romance but I have to say that there was enough intent throughout the book that you knew the feelings were there and that circumstances just kept getting in the way. I really enjoyed the premise of the book and the world building involved here and I can't wait to read further stories set in this world I found it extremely interesting and I really enjoyed the magic system.

Well aj always makes me smile and this book does not disappoint and she has brought in a throples dynamics into this kne and oh boy you are in for a ride! Love these men so much and they balance each other beautifully I truly don't think they would work as standard couple they need each other. So many laugh out loud moments another cannot pass up series from aj!

This is a really fun MMM contemporary near-fantasy PNR with magical first responders battling monsters and magic and 2 veterans protecting their young mage.
I really enjoyed the contrasting characters: the highly intelligent and powerful, but anxious and previously heartbroken, Bel; the hyperactive golden retriever cinnamon roll, Nico; and the steady and protective, part Gargoyle, Garen. And I loved the way they get together as a triad.
One thing that wasn't explained in this was why they could put any trust in the magic choosing Nico, given Bel's first familiar was such a disaster.

This book was really enjoyable. I loved what grew between Bel, Nico and Garen. I think that they all balanced each other out so beautifully. Nico was adorable with his golden retriever energy and I am so glad there wasn’t a lot of angst and jealousy when it came to their relationship even though Garen and Nico had previously been in one. The jobs they got sent on were exciting and interesting. I would have liked to look more into Garen’s gargoyle ancestry but overall had so much fun reading this one! Also. Lightsabers!
