This prequel to [b:Marriage of Inconvenience|30242230|Marriage of Inconvenience (Knitting in the City, #7)|Penny Reid|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1471385814s/30242230.jpg|50705812] is a nice little treat. Whether you’ve already read the novel or not, it’s fun to know how Kat and Dan met. The details of what happened between them in Las Vegas puts their relationship status at the beginning of the full-length book more in focus.

The author warns that the novella contains a lot of foul language. Believe me, it does not come anywhere close to the amount Dan curses in Marriage of Inconvenience. That degree of swearing would normally turn me off, but for some reason I find it hilarious and part of Dan’s charm.

This short story is only four chapters long, but it includes the first three chapters of Marriage of Inconvenience which should whet your appetite for the amazingly entertaining book.

This is a wonderful precursor to Marriage of Inconvenience that is coming out on 3/6! I feel more in love with Dan & Kat as I read about how they got to the upcoming book.

Not ready for the end

Cheese and f**king rice this was fantastic! I cant wait to read the whole story of Kat and Dan. Also, I’m not ready to read it because it means the end of this series. I’m so torn.

Anyone who has read the Knitting in the City books will be familiar with Kat and Dan the Security Man’s relationship. This novella gives readers a bit of backstory to their friendship and serves as a prequel to Marriage of Inconvenience, while also including the first three chapters of MoI.

Kat and Dan’s novel is one I’ve been incredibly excited for ever since I started the series, so I loved getting a bit more of them and seeing how they met and what happened in Las Vegas. I wasn’t disappointed at all. The only downside, aside from its short length, is that it has made me all the more impatient for Marriage of Inconvenience.
