Super interesting one about economics, child labor, and gaming. Really enjoyed.
I liked this, and can see it as a great book talk to share with younger teens. Anda's journey from shy new kid to having more confidence is a standard ya plotline, but the way she comes about her confidence (activism and online gaming) is a great twist. I'm also glad to see a book showing how online gaming is a part of the real world too.
Jen Park's illustrations are colourful and fun, a perfect complement to the storyline. Note: I received a copy of this from netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

A short, sweet little story with great fluid artwork and a surprising but welcome pro activism/organization message
Thank you netgalley for the ARC! An interesting juxtaposition of action and social justice, making this is a graphic novel I cannot wait to recommend.
THIS WAS AWESOME. 4.5 stars. SOO great. I didn't think i would like it as much as I did, but it had a great message, the story and characters were great, and the art was beautiful!

Our main character is a gamer who is recruited to join a guild in a MMO RPG game. While this is empowering (and perhaps a little addicting) for her, she is roped into some questionable activities. She is, in fact, as naive as her mother worries she will be online. Her worldview is blasted open when she starts to understand the real story of gold farmers. Her actions definitely fall into the white savior category, and the plot developments all tie up nicely like an afterschool special, but...it's still a reasonable intro to realities that younger readers may not be aware of.
