Whether you’re a Christian (de-construction or not), not Christian, or curious how the heck Christian Nationalism (and Trumpers) continues to mess up our nation, please read this book!

I’m so glad this book came onto my feed because it really delved deep into the history of Christian Nationalism, had personal tidbits & lived experiences of former Christian Nationalist April Ajoy, and how Christian Nationalism weaved into our US History. Some aspects I laughed because of the relatability of growing up in a hardcore Christian household. Because yes, if you don’t have any experience or background of being a Christian in the 2000s-2010s, all of it is true & wacky. I didn’t realize how recent the book was released as it spoke about Jan 6 and certain events post COVID. Also as a Christian, it helped give me the tools to challenge and start the deeper conversations with friends & family who share the gospel, but their actions & who they vote for speak different. Because if April can change, hopefully those around us can, too. It was an amazing read and definitely will be recommending this book to anyone who will listen.
