re-read and I'm still not a huge fan on this one, but I LOVE WILLIAM AND CERISE! So, I'm not sure what my problem is hahaha

This one we get to see more of William, in my opinion he's much better than Declan. This book just proved that. Bayou Moon was way better than On the Edge. I love how Will and Cerise's paths crossed and intertwined deeply. I love the edginess of these books, and the world is just outstanding I can so picture it clearly in my head. The dynamics of every creature as clear as if it was right in front of me. that's what I love about the Andrew's writing, they just suck you right into their world. I love this book I love them as authors. I can't wait to read the next book in this series.

Like On the Edge, this one is more heavy on the romance. There's action of course, plenty of it. But not as much as there is romance.

For example, the last 20% does well in action. We get the main battle, but then the secondary (actually third) battle was glossed over entirely. I suppose it wasn't as important, but we were treated to one more scene with Spider, before it cuts out completely to the final, main romance scene between Cerise and William.

Cerise and William are great. Individually, they are also great too. Cerise is strong and focussed. William was developed so much from the first book. I loved seeing him.

One of my favourite parts? When Declan tells William that William is actually rich, he's shocked. Loved that part!

Long of short:
- This began really slow for me. But it picked up and I was invested in finishing.
- The Edge, Weird, and Broken doesn't really inspire me. But I don't find it boring - it is, after all, classic Ilona Andrews style.
- The romance outweighs the action in this which isn't really what I aim for a lot. But that didn't mean I wasn't interested in reading this.
- There were too many perspectives and I didn't think they were all used well (like Kaldar, Lagar, etc). But it didn't mean they were uninteresting, I liked seeing the different characters.

Also, I just remembered, no wonder they sounded familiar!!! Jack, George, Gaston, and Lark, we see them in one of my favourite series by Ilona Andrews! - the Innkeeper books! Overall, I heard the next book is Kaldar's and I'm actually really curious about him!

Family. Duty. The Bayou, and William. This one gets a bit darker and more violent than others, but is still overall a light and hopeful story.
