This is a great series. Love William and Cerise. Nice set-up at the end for future books.

This book was absolutely fantastic. I loved Cerise and William's relationship. I love the fact that it wasn't instant love but that it was built on throughout the book.

Each character in the book was described so well it is like I new them in real life and because of these amazing writing skills, it really makes you become attached to the characters.

The reason I did not give 5 stars is because of the ending. Now, it's still a fantastic ended but William goes on a quest to retrieve Cerise's father. This is explained and completed within just a few pages.

I would have loved to have read the full story of this and I think Ilona Andrew's would have had the ability to make this a full length book, but for some reason decided not too.

The epilogue was fantastic and has set the scene for the next book in the series. Thank god I have this on my bookshelf as I do not have the patience to wait.

Gah! I loved this book so much that I feel a little guilty about it. I have to be honest, it took me a long time to get into it. At the start I hated both William and Cerise. Maybe it was because I loved Rose and Declan so much and I was expecting them again. But man did these two break me down. This book was so jam packed with action. One battle ended and another began. I was on the edge of my seat. And the angsy romance was right up my ally. On to the next one.

3.5 star book for me. I switched between the audiobook (90%) and ebook (10%). The narrator for this book was ok, this is the same narrator that is used for all Ilona Andrews books and in my personal opinion I would have liked to see a different narrator for this series. The narrators voice for me is Kate and Curran not these other characters.

I like this Edge series even better than the authors' Magic series. These books are a little less about the action and a little more about emotion and character on a smaller canvas. I enjoy seeing events from the men's points of view. The created world is fascinating, complex and feels very real. The characters are flawed, interesting and very appealing. Well written with angst, plot twists, amusing clever lines, and a satisfying conclusion.
