spoilers
marcella is the icy cold princess of new york
or snow white as some may say ;)
her world is tipped upside down after being kidnapped forced to may for her father’s (luca vitiello) sins.
she meets maddox and surprise surprise she *doesn’t* develop stockholm syndrome and instead falls in love.
regardless the two form and obvious bond regardless of the fact he really doesn’t do that great a job protecting her.
and then supposedly runs off at the end…
ahhh who knows he does betray everyone he’s ever known for, quite literally murdering them all so surely that stands for something… right?

yeah well guys i‘m actually a sucker for cora reilly‘s mafia romances and i’ve read all of them so far
this new generation well i don’t know
i was so eager for the happy ending and now this like maddox you for real?? i loved you and now you’re making me kinda hate you i hope you have a reason.
luca and aria as always my babies i missed them so much glad they had their time to shine! and marcella really is a queen despite seeming annoying in the beginning.
all in all a 3 and a half / 5 i hope part 2 is better than that

Mira para mi ya los libros de Cora Reilly los leo por cariño.
No importa que no tengan sentido, que se enamoren al minuto, no importa. Hay que disfrutar el viaje. Te distraen y son entretenidos. Además que es una saga más larga que Marvel. Tu disfruta no juzgues jajajjjaj

Me gustó este inicio de ver a los protas anteriores de padres

review for part one and two!

Now, I’m a Cora fan but these books were just not the one for me. I really wanted to like this book and it was just…fine. I didn’t hate it but I didn’t love it either.

- I did like the biker versus mafia aspect and I was interested in the ways their world collided. I will say, I wish we got more biker stuff as I didn’t really feel I was immersed enough in their world or know their values etc.
- Maddox was a cute guy but wasn’t at all the kind of hero I expected from a CR book. He was the opposite of her usual broody, angry, rude hero’s and I kind of didn’t know how to feel about it. But I did prefer his character over Marcella - who I hated which is probably why I didn’t enjoy this book as much. I found our heroine very irritating and whiny. I didn’t think she had much of a back bone or personality and I felt like she came across overly privileged and spoiled. I didn’t see any down to earth moments really from her which did damper my enjoyment of the books.
- I felt the plot line was fine but this book definitely could have been one big book and the second book was a major filler for 70% of it until the ending. I did find myself wanting so much more action than I got.
- CR always writes good smutty scenes and this book was no different.

Overall, an okay read but nothing spectacular and definitely not CR’s best books.
